We are a small family-oriented kennel nestled in the beautiful Scenic Rim, where our love for dogs flourishes. Our mission is to breed Rhodesian Ridgebacks that are not only athletic and well-adjusted but also cherished members of our family. Each of our breeding dogs undergoes rigorous health testing, DNA profiling, and Hip and Elbow scoring to ensure the highest standards. Our passion for dogs ignited in childhood, with Liz participating in dog shows alongside her parents, who successfully bred Wire Haired Fox Terriers and West Highland White Terriers. In 2018, our journey with Rhodesian Ridgebacks began when Harper joined our family, followed by Harry in 2020. This rekindled Liz’s enthusiasm for dog showing, which she now balances with her love for golf. The name Lovat Pride reflects the joyous memories of our childhood and the strong bonds of family, honoring the prefix that belonged to Liz’s parents. Our home, set on five acres, allows our dogs to thrive alongside native wildlife, children, cats, and horses. They revel in running and playing, which has led us to explore the exciting sport of Lure Coursing. Occasionally, we have puppies available for loving forever homes, and we take pride in matching them to families based on their unique needs. We offer full support to all our puppy families, and we welcome inquiries for both pet and show homes.
